Artemis II Presentation by former WVW Student

We were proud to welcome back a former Wyoming Valley West student who recently spoke with our students about his hands-on role in the historic Artemis II mission.

During his visit, he shared that he worked directly on the Space Launch System rocket, seeing it every day, even going inside during testing and manufacturing. Watching the successful launch on TV, he described the incredible feeling of knowing, “that’s the one I’ve touched.”
NASA’s Artemis II mission marks the first time humans have traveled to the moon since 1972. This 10-day, crewed test flight will orbit the moon aboard the Orion spacecraft, paving the way for future lunar exploration.

His message to our students was clear: opportunities are limitless with hard work and dedication. We thank him for returning to inspire the next generation of Spartans!
