Message from Dr. Suppon: Third Ave/Dana St Changes for 2026-2027 School Year
Dear Wyoming Valley West Families, Staff, and Community Members,
As we continue moving our district forward, I want to share an important update regarding the 2026-2027 school year.
For the upcoming school year, Third Avenue Elementary School will be unoccupied, and all students who would have attended Third Avenue will instead attend Dana Street Elementary School.
This decision is part of our continued commitment to providing our students with the very best educational opportunities while strengthening our district for the future. By bringing our students together in one building, we are creating additional opportunities to maximize resources, enhance programming, strengthen collaboration among staff, and provide an outstanding learning environment for every child.
I want to assure all families that transportation will be provided for students, and every effort is being made to ensure a smooth and successful transition. Over the coming weeks, additional information regarding transportation, student placement, building procedures, and other important details will be shared . We are committed to keeping all stakeholders informed throughout this process.
While change can bring questions, it also creates opportunities. This transition represents another positive step forward for our district, our students, our dedicated staff, and our entire Wyoming Valley West community. Together, we will continue building on the tremendous momentum we have established and remain focused on what matters most, providing every student with an exceptional educational experience.
At Wyoming Valley West, we are committed to delivering a dynamic education in dynamic learning environments, preparing our students for success today and into the future. With the continued support of our families, staff, Board of Directors, and community, I am confident that we will continue to grow stronger together.
Thank you for your continued trust, partnership, and unwavering support of Wyoming Valley West School District.
Together, we will continue to move our district forward, pave the way in education, and provide endless opportunities for our students.
We are, and will continue to be, a destination district.
As Always, GO SPARTANS!
Dr. Charles R. Suppon Jr. Ed.D.
