Students of Schuyler Avenue Elementary, Wyoming Valley West School District, recently donated to Operation Gratitude Halloween Candy GIVE-Back. Operation Gratitude is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that sends care packages & letters of support to individual Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines deployed in harm’s way. The Halloween Candy GIVE-Back was a perfect avenue for children to learn about patriotism and service, as they donated their “hard-earned candy” to their heroes and an opportunity to say “Thank You” to all who serve. Students donated over forty-four pounds of Halloween Treats.
