Student Awards at PA Junior Academy of Science Regional Meeting

Saturday, March 2nd, the Wyoming Valley West School District had twelve (12) students present projects for the regional meeting of the PA Junior Academy of Science.  Over 400 students in Grades 7 through 12 from 43 different schools participated in the event held at Wilkes University.

 

The following students earned the following awards in the mathematics category:

 

7th Grade

Julia LeValley, 2nd Award

 

8th Grade

Emmanuel Josh A. Dagdag, 1st Award

Yara Khatib, 1st Award

Savannah Rafuse Franco, 1st Award

Madison Stanislow, 1st Award

 

9th Grade

Parker Cardillo, 1st Award

Payton Cardillo, 1st Award

Meghan Singer, 1st Award

 

10th Grade

Emily Bolan, 2nd Award

Ariel Chu,  2nd Award

 

12th Grade

Rebecca Bealla, 1st Award, 4-year Perseverance Award, and Scholarship to Wilkes University

Madelyn Evan, 1st Award and 5-year Perseverance Award

 

These students represented the district extremely well.  

Their dedication and commitment in preparing for the event should be commended.
