What's So Cool About Manufacturing Video Contest

 “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” is a student video contest for local middle school students in Northeast, PA. Each participating middle school had a team that was provided video equipment and training and was then matched with a manufacturing company and teacher coach. The teams then spent a day interviewing workers, getting to know about the company and creating a short video profile of the company and the career opportunities they offer. The contest raises awareness among students, parents, and educators with an accurate depiction of today’s manufacturing environments and career choices. Manufacturing jobs have exciting career paths, excellent pay, engaging work environments and are in high demand! A team of 8th grade students coached by Mr. Moran represented the Middle School this year in the competition.
