. Crowning of Mr. & Miss Sparta will take place on Friday, October 18 during the home football game against Delaware Valley. Homecoming will begin with a parade from Wyoming Avenue to Spartan Stadium. The parade will begin at 6:00 with arrival at the stadium around 6:15.
Wyoming Valley West High School held an awards ceremony on Friday December 7th to celebrate K9 Officer, Una, who was recently awarded the first place grant through Aftermath Services. Communities across the nation voted for their local K9 law enforcement officers in hopes to win the grant and provide funding. The Larksville Police Department was awarded the first place grant of 5,000.00 to support K9 Officer Una who is positioned at the Wyoming Valley West High School full time.
