PBIS Token Award Program January 2025
Wyoming Valley West's positive behavior program, PBIS, spearheaded by Science teacher Mr. Ryan Hettes and History teacher Ms. Katie Finnegan created a new initiative for students. The program introduced a simple yet meaningful award system where participating faculty members present a token of recognition to students who exemplify hard work, respect, and kindness. The students chosen demonstrate strong work ethic, positive behavior both inside and outside the classroom, good attendance, and represent the school community in a positive light. Students selected by faculty members were treated to a special pizza party, complete with food, drinks, and games—an event made possible with the help of French teacher Ms. Suzanne Aboutanos-Fellerman. This initiative not only celebrates students' achievements but also fosters a sense of pride and community within the school.
